Blue Gills in the Bog
May 29th-May 31st, 2020
Wisconsin is home to many cranberry bogs in the West Central part of the state. The ponds that are used to flood the bog for the fall harvest are home to outstanding pan fishing. We have booked one of the better bogs in that part of the state for a great weekend of chasing slab sized Bluegills. I can’t think of anything more fun than top water action for big Bluegill. The bog is located just outside of Warren, WI home of the famous Cranberry festival. You can choose from a cabin or camping. The facilities are fabulous and it truly is a very unique fishing experience. Price includes food, lodging, and access to the bogs for fishing. $450

Join Wildwood Float Trips for our annual smallmouth grand adventure. The Smallmouth Trip from Hell. No other Outfitter that we are aware of offers such a unique trip on some of the best Smallmouth rivers in the world. This will be my sixth year in a row doing this trip. I have to say it is one of the highlights of my guiding season.
You may be wondering what the Smallmouth Trip from Hell is. It’s a four day guided trip, fishing four of the finest warm water fisheries in the country. We will tackle a different river each day of the journey. The rivers include the Mississippi, St. Croix, Flambeau/Chippewa and the Wisconsin. Each river has its own personality and quirks. This is what makes the trip so much fun.
We will start this great adventure on the Mighty Mississippi River. After we are done fishing the first day we load up our gear and boats and travel to the next destination. We will spend the night near the next day’s river. We keep this pace until we reach the last river on the fourth day. The itinerary for leg one of the trip, starting on the Mississippi River, is below. This will give you an idea of the logistics of the tour.
Day one: Fish the Upper Mississippi. When we are done, we travel to Grantsburg, WI. Day two: Fish the National Wild and Scenic St. Croix River. Travel to Winter, WI. Day three: Fish the Flambeau/Chippewa River. Travel to Merril, WI. Day four: Fish the Wisconsin River. If you survive the Smallmouth Trip from Hell, feel free to go and get some rest.
The cost of the trip is $1,495 based on double occupancy. Included are lodging, guide fees, lunches, beverages on the boat, and use of terminal tackle.

Wisconsin is not the only state with quality river musky fisheries. Minnesota has plenty to be proud of when it comes to river Muskies. Minnesota doesn’t need to play second fiddle to anyone. We have many large Muskies that make the Gopher state rivers their home. Each we put anglers on a river system that will provide them with the best opportunity to truly land a fish of a lifetime. Many fish in the mid 40’s and above have been landed. Minnesota is the land of the giants come and find out!
If you like a challenge, this trip may be for you. It will test your patience and stamina as a fly angler.
The cost of the Trip is $1295 per angler. This includes 3 days of guided fishing, lodging, use of terminal tackle and lunches and beverages on the river.
